What came First!

Hello bloggers! This title to my blog is called ” What came first?” Because the summer learning journey has started and I would like to share my learning with you guys. How this works is you have a timer of 15 seconds, 3 lives  and two pictures of memorable events, paintings and people. To pick your answer you click on one of the pictures and if you get it wrong you’ll lose a life, but if you pick the correct answer you’ll gain points. If you would like to join in I will share a link of the site on a snapshot of what it would look like when you start playing. Enjoy!

Reflection of 2022

                  Reflection of 2022

What event do you remember the most?

This was definitely the year 6 camp, it was fun and a very memorable time.

I connected with different people, I’ve also learned a lot  about Auckland and New Zealand’s history.

What subject did you have your best improvement in?

Maths! I’ve gotten 100% on the basic facts test stage 7 almost 8 in prototec, and on club level I’m on 70-80.

I learned to use, “Area and Perimeter,” Also developed new skills by making nets and 3D shapes.

What subject did you enjoy the most?

I love Reading because it also has a mix of learning and art.

This year our focus was on Natural and man made disasters. Like the Christchurch earthquake, Tarawera volcanic eruption, the Wahine shipwreck or the Erebus plane crash. We picked some disasters that happened in New Zealand to learn about Then make a piece of art or project to display what you’ve learnt.

What responsibilities or opportunities have you completed?

The responsibilities I had were being a sports room monitor, librarian, leadership and AV room( sorting out Chromebooks.) I made the best of all the opportunities Like Monday night netball, soccer zones, Orienteering ( Amazing race,) Epro-8, Film Festival, year 6 camp and finally netball zones. I truly enjoyed making friends being a part of these groups.

What new friendships have you made?

At the beginning of the year I thought I wouldn’t have much friends until I met these guys,

Jasleen, Viaan and Gabriel. They were a few friends I made in maths when we were in groups.

I made new friends in Netball their name’s were, Darcey Rose, Honer, Brax, Caleb, Koleka and Danielle.

Also when we were put into groups for film festival I had friendships with, Vivian, Morgan and Drusilla.

At camp I connected with Kiara, locarno, Kiani, Lily Josie and Zara.

There is a few more but let’s move on to the next question.

What would you like to share about your 2022?

It was truly an awesome time being a year 6 and learning new things everytime.

I cannot wait for intermediate to learn more new things. This year was #AMAZING!

Thank you for listening and Reading about my year, remember you have one life, better not waste it.

Black Ferns

Kia Ora whanau,

Some of you probably know that the World Cup started a few weeks ago. I will be updating you of what I’ve been learning and what has happened.

In the World cup I support all of the teams but the team I will be focusing on is the Black Ferns. One of the youngest players in the team is Sylvia Brunt, she also went to my school, she talked about it in an interview. Anyways, the team sent our school gifts and a match schedule score chart to keep track of the games in the World Cup. I will be sharing an image and a video we sent to the team.

If you would like to learn more check out this website;

Here is a photo of the schedule

Thank you for visiting my blog. Bye!

The Museum Trip!

Kia ora Whanau! Early this week on Tuesday the senior syndicate went on a trip on the bus to the museum to explore and have fun. There were some rules we had to follow when we were in the Museum. Before we went off to explore the building, we had a snack and learned about volcanoes and what to pack in case of an emergency.

If you would like more information please take a look at this slideshow below, have fun!

Thank you for reading my work, hopefully you had a vision of what happend at the Museum.

Haere Ra!

Kayaking At CAMP!

Last week at camp with the year 6’s, we did a lot of activities and one of them was kayaking! To be honest I don’t know what else to say, except for the fact that it was very amusing. It was wobbly at first when I got in. But later on I started paddling and then bumped into Sarah. As I did I dropped my oar in the water. So I reached in to get it and my hands got wet and when I kept on paddling my hands got really cold . But that didn’t stop me from having fun.

After a while we did a rotation so people on paddle boats swapped with people on kayaks. So that means I was in a paddle boat and the buddies that I paddled with were Sarah, Louna and Karioi. The boat was going in circles and we weren’t going straight. it was funny but we managed to do so we all took turns paddling at the front side.  Moments later we were going good but we went in circles again! So me and Sarah came out of the boat and started pushing it. we had a lot of fun.

The end Bye!
